Infrastructure

Power Supply

Ningbo electricity system has developed a total power generation capacity of about 5.15 million KW and has been an import base of energy in East China. The power supply of 2004 was 36.712 billion KWH.

Water Supply

Ningbo has 6 waterworks in the city proper with a daily production capacity of 2.737 million cubic meters. Ningbo has accomplished a total water consumption of 2.079 billion cubic meters in 2007.

Gas Supply

In 2007, the liquefied gas supply in Ningbo reached 170£¬000 tons and the capacity of its pipeline supply exceeded 130,000 families. The rate of citizens using liquefied gas covered 100 per cent. Gas from Chunxiao Gas Fields in East China Sea that is still under construction which will go ashore at Beilun. The first phase of the project has been finished in 2004. The whole project is expected to reach an output of natural gas of 15 billion cubic meters annually.

Heat Supply

With its central heating supply system, Ningbo can supply heat at 300 tons per hour. The heating media is over-heated stream with the 0.98 Mpa. pressure at the exit and the temperature of 301℃ .
