As a part of the 2010 Hong Kong, Macao and Zhejiang Week, the Promotion Conference of Modern Logistics of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Zhoushan and Yiwu was held in Hong Kong yesterday. Gong Zheng, Vice Governor of Zhejiang attended the conference and made a speech. Wu Hamin, Vice Mayor of Ningbo, made a keynote speech.
Gong Zheng said, in recent years, Zhejiang has made notable achievements in the logistic industry, as is indicated by the healthy development in the port logistics, air transport logistics, and the professional market and so on. Hong Kong is an important trade and logistic center of the world and its modern logistics is developing rapidly. So, Zhejiang should learn from Hong Kong in this respect. With the gradual recovery of the global economy, the logistic industry will have a new opportunity for its development. Facts prove that the cooperation in logistics between Zhejiang and Hong Kong will greatly promote the development of the modern logistics.
Wu Hemin made a speech entitled “to make win-win cooperation to promote the development of modern logistics. After that, he introduced to the guests the free trade zone of Meishan Port, Zhenhai Mass Freight Ship and Train Coordinated Transport Artery Port and Ningbo Airport Logistic Park.
Xu Yaolin, Director of Service Promotion Department of Hong Kong Trade Development Bureau and representatives from over 130 enterprises including Hong Kong Global Shipping, Hutchison Whampao, and Brightoil attended the conference.
