The social and economic comprehensive strength in Ningbo increases rapidly,. In 2007, Ningbo's GDP reached RMB 343.310 billion Yuan with an increase of 14.8% and the per capita GDP was over USD8,026. The annual per capita disposable income of urban dwellers averaged 22,307 Yuan, up 13.4. The import and export volume of Ningbo's local companies reached USD 56.50 billion, up 33.9 % , among which, the export volume was USD 38.26 billion, up 33.0 % , and the import volume was USD 18.24 billion, up 35.7%. The retail sales volume of consumer goods was 103.55 billion Yuan, up 17.3 % . The financial revenue of 2007reached 72.39 billion Yuan, up29.0 % . By the end of 2007, Ningbo has newly authorized 873 projects with foreign investment with an actual utilization of foreign investment of USD 4.5billion.
